HUMAN RIGHTS POLICY
CULTIVOS PISCÍCOLAS DE BARBATE S.L. (CUPIBAR)
Human Rights are a set of internationally recognized principles and fundamental freedoms that guarantee the dignity, equality, and respect of all individuals without distinction. They are enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (United Nations, 1948) and apply to all aspects of life, including the workplace.
At Cultivos Piscícolas de Barbate S.L., hereinafter referred to as CUPIBAR, we have developed a Human Rights Policy focused particularly on employment-related rights, as we believe that a fair, safe, and respectful working environment is the foundation for the well-being of our employees, the successful development of our activities, and positive coexistence with the community.
Accordingly, this policy encompasses those rights directly linked to the workplace and the community, as well as the principles established in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that safeguard freedom, equality, workplace safety, and respect for the social environment.

CUPIBAR respects and promotes the following rights within the organization:
Right to Freedom of Opinion, Information, and Expression
We respect diversity of thought and encourage open and transparent dialogue at all levels of the organization.
Right to Freedom of Association, Trade Union Membership, and Collective Bargaining
We recognize the right of employees to organize and elect representatives to defend their interests, as well as to participate in collective bargaining processes in accordance with applicable legislation.
Right to Privacy and Protection of Personal Data
We guarantee the confidentiality of our employees’ information, respecting their privacy and using personal data solely for lawful and authorized purposes.
Right to Decent Working Conditions and Equal Treatment
CUPIBAR ensures an inclusive working environment free from discrimination based on gender, age, origin, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other personal condition. We value individuals based on their professionalism and performance.
Right to a Safe and Healthy Working Environment
Safety is a priority. CUPIBAR provides protective equipment, training, and appropriate working conditions to safeguard the health and well-being of all employees.
Right to a Workplace Free from Harassment
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of workplace harassment or conduct that undermines the dignity of individuals. We provide confidential and effective mechanisms for reporting and addressing such situations.
Elimination of All Forms of Forced or Compulsory Labour and the Effective Abolition of Child Labour
CUPIBAR rejects all forms of forced labour, servitude, or exploitation, as well as the employment of minors under conditions that violate their fundamental rights. We promote a working environment that guarantees freedom, dignity, and the comprehensive protection of children.
Right to Be a Good Neighbour and Respect Nearby Communities
CUPIBAR assumes its social and environmental responsibilities by acting respectfully towards local communities and contributing positively to their economic, social, and cultural development.
CUPIBAR Commitment
CUPIBAR shall ensure that all employees, within their respective areas of responsibility, respect Human Rights and contribute to the implementation of this policy.
Furthermore, periodic training will be provided to ensure understanding and effective application of these principles.
Responsibility and Monitoring
CUPIBAR designates the Facility Manager as the person responsible for the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of this Human Rights Policy.
The Facility Manager’s responsibilities include:
Translating this policy into practical actions and initiatives within the company.
Monitoring compliance with the commitments contained herein and identifying areas for improvement.
Reporting regularly to senior management and stakeholders on progress and challenges.
Coordinating training and awareness programs related to human rights.
Reviewing and updating the policy periodically or whenever significant organizational changes occur.
Collaborating with employee representatives to ensure their views are taken into consideration.
CUPIBAR’s senior management shall ensure that the Facility Manager has the necessary resources to fulfil these responsibilities.
Consultation and Reporting Channel
CUPIBAR provides employees, collaborators, and local communities with a confidential consultation and reporting channel through which they may report any breach of this Human Rights Policy or any situation that compromises the dignity of individuals.
The channel is available via email at rrhh@cupibar.com and through a physical mailbox located at the company’s main facilities.
CUPIBAR guarantees the confidentiality of all information received, the protection of the reporting person’s identity, and the prohibition of any form of retaliation.
Integrity and Anti-Corruption
CUPIBAR rejects all forms of corruption, bribery, and improper practices in the conduct of its activities.
We are committed to acting with integrity, transparency, and respect for the law in all our operations and business relationships.
Furthermore, we promote a culture of ethical behaviour throughout the organization and maintain confidential reporting mechanisms for notifying any irregularities, including conduct contrary to this policy.
Alignment with Other Policies
This Human Rights Policy is integrated with and complements CUPIBAR’s internal policies and procedures, particularly the Corporate Policy, Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Equality Plan, and Non-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy.
Together, these policies form a coherent framework aimed at ensuring a safe, inclusive, and respectful working environment aligned with the principles of human dignity, equal opportunities, and social responsibility.
